Helen is the perfect spot for a 2 day to 5 day vacation. There is so much to do in all age ranges. Book this one! "As soon as you walk in the reception area, it smells fresh and clean.The room was nicely made. My family and I had a beautiful view and could see a mountain. The bathroom door would not open all the way which made it a bit inconvenient. But, the hotel is quiet and safe and in a nice area.The pool was really cold since it's an indoor pool, so we couldn't enjoy it. But, we would definitely stay at this hotel again if we return to Helen."

"I had some car issues so had to extend my stay indefinitely. Michael and Demi were so kind to me and Cassandra was also very nice. The people who clean the rooms were very considerate of my specific needs. The hotel was very clean and everyone had a smile and said hello. My brother lives in Gainsville and there is no other place I’d stay. "

"Excellent location, safe and quiet. Dog friendly with a dog park right next to the river. On the pricey side for bringing your dog as they charge per day and not a one time charge. Everything in Helen is easy walking distance for shopping and dinning. "
"I was skeptical about booking after reading reviews however with the price being so good we stayed anyways. The hotel is old ans d it shows, but its clean. The rooms are updated but still show wear and tear. The beds are very comfortable!! Plenty of towels etc. Basic room. The sheets had rips in them, i contacted the front desk so they woupd know we didnt cause the rips. They have an incidental sheet and will charge you for damages. The housekeeping is great, very helpful and we really liked them. The pool is absolutely wonderful. The fire pit needs to be reserved so tell the front desk. Its fun we had a good time after swimming late. The breakfast is very small just fyi.The coffee is ok.There is a grocery store nextdoor that has excellent breakfast and lunch, dinner. Its a deli. BETTY'S, remember that! The hotel is in walking distance to the river, shops, restaurants. Very happy with the location. We will be back!!"
