Our first visit to Pittsburgh. Lots of activities & good restaurants. Many neighborhoods to explore. It's a hard city for a newbie to navigate - it's not on a grid due to the hills and rivers. Streets are surprisingly narrow. People are friendly.

There is so much to do in Pittsburgh! We enjoyed shopping in the strip district on Saturday morning. The Phipps Conservatory has a beautiful collection of plants and flowers. We rode the Duquesne incline to view the city skyline from Mt. Washington.

We drove into Pittsburgh for the first time ever at night. It was a beautiful sight to behold! Next day, we toured on a red double decker bus. It was spectacular! We had a great guide and really got to see the highlights. We can't wait to go back.

Lots to do. We enjoyed Randyland, the National Aviary, the Warhol Museum, the Frick, and the Heinz History Museum, plus a great Molly's Trolley's tour including the Duquesne Incline. We still have enough on our to-see list to warrant a return trip!

Varied architecture, beautiful parks, and many things to do. Pittsburg is very walkable and visually interesting. The riverwalks are fantastic and are clean. Unfortunately, there are a lot of homeless people that roam the downtown core.

The street designations are as confusing as ever, worsened by the hills and bridges. However, the populace is friendly and its restaurants and historic districts make Pittsburgh a fun and fascinating place to visit.

The Landing Hotel at Rivers Casino
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Landing hotel. Beautiful property and surrounding area. Staff were amazing. Fastest Valet I've ever experienced. Couple minor issues, the power drapes didn't always work, the mini fridge popped the breaker once but again all minor. We will be back. "
Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh University Center
10/10 Excellent
"The staff was exceptionally helpful. When I asked for directions to a store to buy an umbrella the gentleman at the front desk provided me with his or the hotel's umbrella to use. It was so super helpful and thoughtful. I was going to a ceremony and it started to pour while there- that umbrella was key! Thanks very much to MC hotel for putting guest first and caring!! "
"This may be the best hotel I've stayed in and that's saying a lot! Super clean, the bed was comfortable. The mini workout station in the room was perfect! "
