Located handily in between the busy Umeda and Shinsaibashi/Namba districts, this branch of APA Hotel is located a stone's throw from the 'Kitahama' stop on the Osaka Metro and Keihan railway. The Keihan railway is particularly useful for day trips to Kyoto.
The team at this hotel were friendly and helpful, including helping with our queries in English. Facilities including self-serve laundry were appreciated. Rooms are small (as is normal for Japan), I would not recommend 2 people in a standard double room unless travelling with very little luggage.
The area around the hotel is quiet, but there are amenities including Starbucks, MOS Burger, a Supermarket (in the nearby Kitahama Place) and multiple combinis in the immediate vicinity.
We had no troubles with the air conditioning and were able to set the temperatures of the rooms with no issues.
