Situated close to the centre of Carlisle, clean, comfortable, quiet and all at a great price, especially considering it was a bit last minute. The owners are very friendly too and the breakfast was delicious. Couldn't fault it. Would definitely recommend. :)

Staff were lovely, breakfast was fantastic with lots of options, had all the required amenities and extras such as hygiene products, the room was clean and had a very comfy bed and was only a 10 minute walk from the station meant very easy access for activities and errands I had for the weekend. Lynn and Stephen run a very friendly and exceptionally clean b and b. The full English is excellent too. They are some 10 mins walk from the train station. I can heartily recommend Brooklyn House.

Friendly, welcoming owners; gorgeous full English breakfast; room small but comfortable with tea/ coffee making facilities (plus biscuits) and shower gel in the bathroom. The room was a bit on the cold side but quiet despite being near a main road. Really close to the main sites and the station, all easily walkable.

I had a single room at the rear of the property which was not only cooler but nice and quiet too. This guest house is ideally placed for the city centre and also the road networks. The host is very welcoming and the team make a mean breakfast! Which when included in an already very reasonable price makes the stay much sweeter! I’d used the guest house for a business/family visiting trip and the room more than suited my needs. The room was very clean and tidy and was made up during each day of my stay. Once of the best places I’ve stayed in Carlisle and I’ve been to a few!

The host was very friendly and accommodating. There are stairs for those with mobility issues. Breakfast was arranged the day before and there was a selection of cereals. The hotel was next to a main road which made it very noisy with sirens and HGVs. However the hotel off is very competitive price for the area. If you want 4 or 5* then you need to pay more for it.

2 nights a start of Hadrian's Wall walk. Location is just off the path, which is good, but it is difficult to get to on a very busy road. A few blocks from the main tourist area and a 10 minute or so walk from the train station. Small room in what felt like a dated property. The hostess was helpful and very nice, my room was ready well before checkin time and I was allowed to drop my bag in the room. Breakfast was good.
