The Dakota Lodge was perfect for our quick overnight on the trip to see Badlands and other SD areas. While the property is older, it was very clean, and the staff was very helpful with our late check in. I’d definitely stay here again for a clean an affordable place to lay my head in between destinations. The restaurant next door was a wonderful option for a delicious and hearty breakfast before getting back on the road.

I made the reservations 1/2 hour before arriving. The technology and the operators were not on the same page, but everything meshed out very well. The Lodge is from the 1950s with its own Quaint characteristics. Very well-maintained and very clean. I would stay there again

This is a minimalist property, done right. The bed and pillows were comfy, the refrigerator was cold, the shower was hot, the check-in was friendly and simple! No breakfast = no problem, but an ice machine would have been nice. We were happy to make use of the fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, and we left rested and refreshed.
