I don't usually contribute to these surveys, but for the Gypsy Point Lodge I am making an exception because this place is exceptional. Do yourself a favour. If in the area, choose this one.

A special place
Beautiful surroundings. Room with a view of the garden and river, just lovely. Dinner at the restaurant of local produce and regional wines- delicious! We return almost every year to Gipsy Point lodge and always feel it is a special place. A. short diversion from the Princes Highway is not to be missed.

It was the beginning of the season and we were the first guests after their winter break. Directions and entry details were concise and easy to follow, because reception was closed. We were informed that the restaurant was not open on Wednesdays and we would need to go to Mallacoota to get dinner, but we could book in for Thursday night. The smoke alarm woke us up at 4.15am on Thursday and as their was no-one around we had to climb on a chair to disable it. On checking there was no smoke, fire or any risk factors so we went back to bed. The next day owners were very upset and dealt with problem and checked all of the alarms. They compensated us and we had a beautiful meal at restaurant. It is a beautiful setting and the room was clean, warm and comfortable, so I would recomment it.

Lovely, kind hosts, beautiful serene area. Huge room with a beautiful outlook. Heating & electric blanket - which we needed! The restaurant was opened especially for us (we were the only ones there as it was mid winter) & we had the best steaks we’ve ever had). Very comfy bed. Highly recommend this beautiful serene place.

Was a great place and location for an overnight stay after spending the day exploring the Coastal Walks around Mallacoota. The Owners were very friendly and welcoming. The Room was clean and tidy. The location was peaceful and quiet. I also enjoyed a nice meal at the onsite Lodge Restaurant. Really enjoyed my stay.

Somewhat dated lodge close to the river. Excellent restaurant but a little on the expensive side. Staff friendly. Rooms have a lovely outlook to the grounds. Went on a nearby walk that was a little underwhelming.

Lovely peaceful place to stay away from it all. Lots of space to sit back and forget about everything. If you get the chance - definitely eat in the restaurant as the food is lovely. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic area to stop by, very quiet, with view on the river. There was a power outage that lasted for 2 hours hence why I only put 3 stars for the service but apart from that great place to stay!

Clean cottage in quiet area. Food at Lodge was great and view form dining room amazing. Try to be there for sunset. Owners wete thete to serve dinner and were both lovely. However windows in our cottage looked out to other cabins or walkways which meant we needed to keep our blinds closed. I am also not a fan of getting guests to clean their own dishes. This meant I needed to clean teapot and cups before using them as they weren't quite clean.

Exactly as advertised. Quiet cosy get away for the weekend nearby Mallacoota and its many attractions. The restaurant was the icing ontop we loved our meals, the staff and atmosphere. Really minor negatives or could be improved? Outside a little run down like old tennis courts and things around the grounds just "let go". If its not going to be fixed get rid of it. Water in showers would go hot/cold as I assume water in the building used elsewhere, not very "motel like".

The young couple that were the staff; chef, reception, maintenance etc were exceptional. The room was clean and pleasant. The exterior and entrance to the property needs a major overhaul. The place has a lot of potential but needs a lot of money spent on it.
