We had the most amazing time while we stayed here! The beds were comfortable and clean, everything you could have needed was in this incredible home. Absolutely gorgeous views from the top pool. Enrik could not have been a better host, he was friendly, kind, and the most helpful getting us around and giving the best recommendations! We loved our stay at Aura Caves. The apartment was perfect for our family. There was plenty of room for our family of three. Our 16 year old daughter loved having her own separate space with her own private bathroom. We enjoyed our private plunge pool every day that we stayed at Aura Caves. It was so relaxing with a beautiful view. The apartment was conveniently located near several restaurants and shops. Enrik was so very helpful in every way. He was available and quickly responded to any and all of our questions and requests. I would very highly recommmend Aura Caves for your Santorini stay.

We had a group of 5 ladies staying here. First - the villa is unique and beautiful. I’ve never stayed in a property such as this. Historic and lovely. Problems arose with hot water, A/C, and WiFi, but you’re staying in a cave. This was understanble and our host was there to assist. Shower water pressure was great. I would recommend this villa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to downtown Fira.

Overall it was good. May be little difficult to find. Walkable distance to the downtown and close to restaurants and a grocery store. You have to drive or have a taxi to reach beaches and Oia. I believe it’s family owned business and they were very nice and responsive.

This place is exactly as shown in the pictures. I’ve never slept better! The cave was cozy. We had sufficient hot water. The pool is upstairs above the apartment with a small seating area. The pool is small but the water was too cool due to temperatures. The area was great! Lots of shopping and dining options close by. Our host arranged our excursions and airport/SeaJet excursions. I definitely recommend !

It was a great experience. Room, pool, deck were clean and in excellent condition. Read some other comments about pool not being clean but for us it was cleaned a few times during our stay, and quite honestly didn’t really need it. The hotel was a short walk to all the shops and restaraunts and the view of the caldera. There was a new restaraunt called Tholotos that was just up the hill from Aura, great food/view/value, had breakfast there 3 times. It was very cool and interesting to be in a cave and you could really feel that it was a unique and different type of lodging and an experience to be there. Some of the ceiling were a bit low, but that’s to be expected in a cave.

Aura Caves was great from check in to check out. The apartment is exactly as advertised. Beds we’re comfortable and having the plunge pool was amazing. The check in was great - the gentleman who checked us in was very knowledgeable and helpful and he was very responsive every time I reached out to him. He arranged a transfer to the port for us and even allowed us to leave our bags at their offices after check out so we didn’t have to carry them around until our late afternoon ferry. Location was great - very close to everything you would need. The only downside was that there is only one AC unit and it is in the main living area so if you close the doors to the bedrooms (like we did overnight when we were sleeping) the bedrooms and their bathrooms get warm, but it wasn’t unbearable and wouldn’t even be an issue if you’re not traveling when AC is needed.
