Hotel Colonia del Corso is in an excellent location—just minutes from the Trevi Fountain, Via del Corso, and many great restaurants. The staff was generally very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Clarissa, who was especially kind and gave us great recommendations for cool spots around Rome.
However, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s not really a traditional hotel. There’s no lobby or elevator, and we were charged an extra €30 for checking in just 1.5 hours early. That was excessive We had an early rooftop reservation and needed to rest before. The room itself was very small, but the bed was large and comfortable.
The gentleman who checked us out was a bit rude and abrupt, which was disappointing. That said, I would consider staying here again for a short visit of 1–2 nights due to the location and comfort.
