Good. But far
Overall it’s a nice place. Especially the design and the atmosphere. Very beautiful outdoors. I would call it five-ish stars hotel. The cleanliness of the sheets could to better (see photos of the mattress Skirt or the napkin in the room) but I can’t say it bothered me enough to ask to replace it. Had to come out and sort the check out when ordering room service (even though I notified I have credit for the room) - was a bit annoying but everything sorted. Biggest disadvantage is that you are pretty far out from the city - so that would cost time and money on rides. And of course- you are mainly going to order food in the hotel area which is always annoying. Even though it is pretty far and quieter than in town - you still hear noises like cars and people (stuff) walking and talking - at least in the room I had facing the pool side. They have a golf course just 1 min walk away so I guess that’s good if you play golf. The staff are very nice and respectful. Breakfast is ok, not great (the cheese plater needs to be bigger). Again overall it’s a good stay - and the difference between a good choice and could do better elsewhere - really depends what the price for the room. I think 110 usd (including tax) per night is a bit borderline.

I travel all over the world and this hotel has been nothing short of amazing. Everyone is extremely helpful, delightful to deal with, and will go out of their way to help you. The grounds are great, food was great, very quiet atmosphere. It was such a relaxing stay. I can not recommend this hotel more. Awful!
I have been to Thailand over 20 times now and this was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Nothing about this hotel was 5 star except the prices they charged for food, drinks and the spa. I thought I'd have a relaxing weekend outside of Chiang Mai but this hotel did not provide what I desired AT ALL. Customer service was APPALLING, especially for Thailand, where service is so good. Every material from the decorative pillows in the bedroom to the blow dryers to the treadmills in the gym was CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP. I use hotels.com all of the time and usually find them quite accurate but this property was just terrible! I would never recommend it to anyone. AVOID.

Expensive drink.....but good hotel.
We enjoyed our stay at North Hill and found the staff pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and was regularly replemished and of good quality. A few things could be improved. A later transfer time back to the hotel from Chiang Mai (10pm too early). The price of the drink outside happy hour which is early in the evening is much too expensive given the remote location of the hotel. We went to the New Year reception on the roof (costing THB2019 per person) to find that there was only ourselves and another couple from Melbourne!!! Given that it was canapes and drink only this was way too expensive...... hence the poor take up! The discount to guests for golf should be greater given the remote position of the hotel. Overall I would recommend this hotel but you need to reduce your bar prices to encourage people to stay so far outside Chiang Mai.

Don’t book if your going on vacation
The hotel is is all around a nice resort but not for someone that’s going on vacation. This hotel is more of a business trip hotel. First you walk into a restaurant not a lobby. They have no concierge’s desk to a well touristic area. They are extremely far from everything which is terrible when no tour will go that far out. They have a shuttle service to the town which is great, but the times are sooooo off. The staff do not understand you at all and say yes as if they do. Which is problem because your not getting anything done correctly. The food was very good which was a huge plus.

New and very nice staff
When we arrived, we were welcomed wonderfully in the reception desk. The place is new and very clean, food was terrific. They helped us schedule our tour and Aeed was a very nice driver. However, when we went to our room, our AC was not working. It took about 30 minutes for them to fix it and finally gave up and gave us another room. Overall, the stay was nice

Excellent service. New and clean.
The service is perfect. The staff are polite and very welcoming. The facilities are very new and clean. The pool is amazing. Breakfast is delicious with a wide range of food. The environment is fabulous. It’s quite away from the city so it’s quiet with fresh air. Shuttles are provided so it’s ok that it’s not located in the city. Even the shuttle bus lounge in the city is comfy with great service. Would definitely go again!
