V. nice family-friendly hotel on the Meathow River in Winthrop. Good price. Decent breakfast. Pools (cold & hot) were a big plus. Also had a sauna. Lots of activities for kids (float the river, bikes etc). Shopping/espresso next door. Downtown Winthrop is an easy walk.

Convenient

Convenient for an overnight stay during our trip around the Cascades. The room was clean but quite noisy - not from the traffic on the road immediately outside the room but the electric generator? immediately outside The room and the guest upstairs - you could even hear when they used the bathroom. There were signs of wear and tear that needed resolving and a problem with the bedside light. However, the owner appeared focussed on making sure guests had a good experience, the pool area was clean and well kept and it was good that there were pet-free rooms for those of us with pet hair allergies
