Not much to like really - property is dated and in need of major refurbishment . We used to own a property a couple of blocks closer to town on the waterfront , refurb was done in 4-5 year cycles . This room didnt look like it had been properly updated in the last 15 or 20 - just generally shabby . Bed must have been replaced however as it was comfortable. Not somewhere where we would want to do more than a 1 night stay .

Always a favourite place for us to stay at.
We have stayed at this accommodation on a number of occasions and will continue to do so if we return to Taupo. Our room had a great view of the lake. Our checkin was easy and quick. Reception staff were very professional and helpful. Easy walking distance to eating places

Thought we were getting something special for the price but it was tired and very dated. The lift was diabolical, the bathroom had nowhere to put anything so all our toiletries had to go on the floor. No towels or dishcloth in the kitchen on the second day, despite notices advising visitors were expected to clean their own dishes, so glad we were not intending to cook. Reception was closed on both occasions we went to request something and all in all very poorly serviced. Not really much to say we liked here, the bed was reasonably comfortable although the pillows were like bricks, so all in all not a particularly enjoyable experience which was a shame as this marred our visit to Taupo and was the last stop on our holiday.

We've stopped here a number of times. The location suits us. The staff are welcoming and happy to assist with anything we ask about. Great views of the lake from our room. Mt Ruapehu can be seen in the distance on a clear day.
