The hotel appears to have been flipped quickly with cheap materials and poor workmanship. The shower granite (or whatever material it was) was already cracked. In the elevator, the panels near the doors could be seen moving when the doors closed and the doors themselves creaked and or scraped loudly every time they closed. There were no TVs in the lobby where they were clearly intended, and old receipt stickers were still on the vanity. The bathroom had an exhaust fan but no switch to control it. Outside, on the front of the building, plywood was showing and you could read the old hotel name. In the morning, the area outside smelled strongly of sewage or like the pachyderm section of a zoo.
The breakfast offered old or poor-quality fruit, with brown bananas and apples spotted with brown marks.
On a positive note, I will say the staff were nice and polite throughout my stay.
