This property had a quaint courtyard, and was close to central Antigua. You could easily walk to any restaurant or tour operator. The staff was welcoming and friendly, but the rooms were humid with little air circulation. The water pressure in the shower was sub-par, at best, and the water pooled and didn’t easily drain. The snacks for purchase (M&Ms) were uneatable. They had white spots on them. I notified the front desk and they still charged me for them because the bag was open. The night attendant was found sleeping in the front area a couple of different times and was super disoriented when he woke up. Also, breakfast wasn’t available on site, they refer you to another property for that and charge $10 USD.

This is a low-budget hotel that charges mid-range prices. The internet service was poor; I couldn’t accomplish anything during my stay. The bathrooms are tiny, and in the shower area, water pools. The sink lacked a drainage lid. During my stay I had a cold shower because the water heater broke. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows and decorative pillows were to say the less groos. They are ready to be trashed. The sofa in the lobby needs new upholstery, but instead, they improvised with cheap cushions that don’t even match the color. Wish I could include pictures in my review. I read previous customers’ reviews but didn’t pay attention. Lesson learned: I’m not staying in a hotel rated less than 9/10 again.

Lovely friendly staff, 24 hr front desk. Clean charming property. Might be good to know beforehand that, as with many old places in Antigua (and Guatemala in general), your toilet paper is not flushed, it goes in the bin. A little odd if you are not used to it. We had baggies with us but none were provided. That would be the only negative critique. Nice hotel with good eating deals at sister properties. Pablo overnight is great at his job!
