Very clean, great staff, but lacking vegan options
Whilst Jamie, who greeted us when we checked in, Daphne (in the bar) and all the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and professional, unfortunately the vegan meal options were not the same as those promised when making our booking. I specifically stated that I am vegan and also that I cannot have anything spicy. I was assured there would be "plenty of options". In the evening there was only one vegan option; a bean chilli. Daphne and Jamie spoke with the chef who first rustled up an ariabati sauce which was too acidic for me causing much discomfort after only a small taster. Then a vegan Bolognese was produced. Fortunately this was fine, albeit not especially well seasoned. A similar issue occurred in the morning for breakfast. I checked that, as promised when booking, the sausages with the vegetarian breakfast (ordered without eggs) were vegan to initially be told they were NOT! After checking with the kitchen they discovered they did have some vegan sausages after all. Whilst we did get there in the end, it was frustrating that after making it clear when booking, and again when checking in, that I am vegan and cannot eat spicy food, we had quite a task obtaining something suitable for me to eat. We were also not impressed to have to sit and listen to Emmerdale on the TV in the bar whilst eating our evening meal!. Also, our bathroom sink was too close to the toilet, and the bed was too high and side tables too low so the height differences were awkward.

Great for one night sleep
Just returned from our one night stay and overall it was a pleasant stay. Room was spacious, bathroom good size. Just felt like it could have some TLC as the wooden Furniture was scraped a lot. But it was clean and slept well. Duvet quite thin but there’s a rug in cupboard that I used and it was lovely and warm. Breakfast was fantastic - very well organised! I loved that you sort the toast. Parking is free and was the reason we booked hotel. If we’re in Southampton again will return.

Good budget hotel for city centre stay
The location was good for the city centre, and it was useful to have free parking on-site. The decor was a little tired and my room smelled a bit of smoke, but bathroom & sheets were clean.

The hotel is located quite far from the city center. The station of the airport bus is nearby. The reception is closed during the night, but there is a night guard available. The free WiFi connection is fast. The room has a view to a parking area. It is quite cold in the room. The bed is large and comfortable. There is tea maker in the room. The ventilator is the bathroom is noisy and cannot be turned off manually.

An excellent experience.
We could not fault the Elizabeth House Hotel. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and we had the options of deciding whether we wanted the room refreshed and when. All the staff especially the receptionist were friendly and helpful and we shall definitely stay there again in 2025.

Busy but good.
Lovely old hotel but our room was noisy and awkward to access due to cars parked everywhere. Beds comfortable, good breakfast, lovely staff. On a very busy road but close to ParkRun! Having the car park for cruisers caused a bottleneck in car par though.
