Front desk poor customer service
We arrived after a huge snowstorm. Bartender Jonah was wonderful. And even made our dinner when all the Plaza restaurants were closed. Front desk clerk was awful. We asked for a room with a view of the Plaza. She refused and told us the hotel was sold out but we never saw another person all night. Restaurant was closed. No one in the bar or checking in. Bumped into the head of housekeeping and she told us there were only 13 occupied rooms in the entire hotel. Needless to say we were very disappointed to have been lied to. Definitely won’t be back. Poor customer service

Two Queen bed high
We were to have a room with king bed and and we got a room with two queen beds. The room smelled like pot and it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The hotel comped our parking for the hassle.

Aloft Always Delivers
Aloft is our go-to for most overnight stays in KC. It's clean, comfortable, has a solid bar (though it was out of the red wine we wanted), and the shower is one of the best I've had in a hotel.

8/10 Very Good
Nov 5, 2024
It was jarring to walk into the room and be in the bathroom. The doors to the little room where the toilet is make a racket and when you flush the toilet it sounds like a jet engine so if you get up in the night to use the bathroom there's no way not to wake your partner. The "cold" water in the sink at night was warm no matter how long we ran it. It would be nice to have a clock and a separate chair to sit in. Because there's no carpet the sound in the room is very tinny. For these reasons, we would not stay again despite the positive aspects.

Hard night
Room was very small. 1 foot between bed and wall on one side. Bed was hard as a rock. Slamming doors could be heard up and down the hall. Ice machine for cups of ice only, and it was often empty of ice. Front desk was helpful and nice. Costs $24,00 extra to park your car.

Affordable and clean
We thought it was great. Cool lobby area with a bar and a lot of sitting areas. The outside area could fit at least 2 more fire pits though. We wanted to use it but there was a group at the 1 fire pit available all evening. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
