Not worth the cost
It was ok. If you book a suite and are expecting a little class than a normal hotel room, don’t. It’s old, the rooms are drab and run down, and the ‘suites’ are placed right above the kitchen so they smell like grease and your ‘view’ is the smoke stacks from the kitchen. Wouldn’t come back.

Check in was slow , only one girl and was booking someone on line, so waited 10-15minutes . I have mobility issues and got the elevator up to the 3rd floor and had to walk down two sets of stairs to our room . The room was very small & pillows uncomfortable. Ate in hotel restaurant and the service was excellent and food was very good .

It was just okay. The room is very small. It was surprising to see single pane glass in this climate. Great water pressure. The check in procedure was fast and friendly. There needs to be more sound proofing.. you could hear the conversations of the cleaning staff. Stayed One night only. I would come back

A property that clearly once had luxury that could use a refresh and facelift. Bed mattress was curved due to high use and noise from elevator was heard in our room far down the hallway. Trails around property were lovely but some suddenly ended that were supposed to connect to other spot (to overgrown areas). Lovely spot and with a great lookout just adjacent to the property. Adjoining restaurant had good food but was pricey. Gym and sauna quite dated.

Nice property grounds. Love the walking trails.The heated outdoor pool was very cold so unfortunately we didn’t go for a swim. Initial reception could be a little friendlier. Food and service in the dining room was just ok, would eat in town if we stayed again. Our room was quite run down but fair for the price. It is a rather musty old building so if you have allergies this might not be the best option. Pool attendant was lovely and engaging, the friendliest staff we encountered:)

It’s difficult to capture in a simple survey like this. Everything was great, my only disappointment was the buffet this morning, the eggs Benedict seemed to be there for a long time and were very rubbery, there were no fish cakes left and there were no sausage. But the staff was great. And also I need to note the pool was not heated as advertised (it was only 60 degrees) also advertised in front of the restaurant was today hip of beef, we were looking forward to it but that was a Friday special.

For a man with heart issues, there was no ramp for wheeling suitcases. We are in our 70’s and had to carry bags up stairs to check in and then back down to get to Room 6. Where are the handicap accommodations? I don’t see them anywhere on property. I was only told the elevator would not work for our room.
