tl;dr nice hotel, staffed by friendly, inviting and interesting people. food is good, drinks passable, and is located minutes walk from family friendly beach and only minutes drive/walk away from ferry to Gozo and Camino.
Positives: We enjoyed our stay - especially the location, the food, and service (room and restaurant staff). There are a variety of restaurants - which means meals are always distinct. The Brazilian and Middle Eastern were really quite good. The food in the main restaurant rotates every day - so there is always something different. Sunday service is truly a feast, as is the day that the donut machine comes out. Special shout out to staff that we met during our stay, as we learned about their story, culture, and family. It was lovely to meet people like China, Sonu, Prativa, Santoshi, and Jonathan - who always served with a smile, and seemed genuinely interested in us and our young children.
Things to improve:
1. Late arrival - bags weren't offered to be dropped to the room. Would have been nice given spare trollies and staff.
2. No lifeguard at the pool - this is unforgivable (May 13th-24th stay).
3. Air-conditioning room isn't that powerful.
4. Restaurant always ran out of tea spoons - i don't think they realise how many kids needs them.
5. Cheap yoghurts, cheese, and ice-cream in restaurants.
