A very quaint hotel in a great area, close to dining and shoppes. Room was very nice. Didn't care for $20 charge to check in just 20 minutes early. Also lobby coffee machine was broken and restaurant that was supposed to open at 7:00 did not open until 9:30 because employees were late. Otherwise this was a great stay.

The property was older but it has been renovated very nicely. There is only one restaurant in the hotel even though the website says there were more. Most of the staff were very nice (I only experienced one person who needs a little more customer service training at the front desk). On plus side: great location for visiting the downtown area and the staff was very attentive. Unfortunately, there were too many negatives: Room was not very good. The quality of the workmanship, i.e. tiling in the shower looked like it wasn't done by a professional. The vent in the bathroom was full of damp lint, obviously hadn't been dusted in a while. There was only one towel bar thereby leaving no place to hang hand towels, wash rags or a second towel. Very inconvenient as these were all wet when needed to use them again. Room was located on 3rd floor and overlooked the lobby. As a result, the light from the lobby and the additional light from the sky lights over the lobby area require blackout curtains. There were just plain ones allowing light all night.
