Everything was very nice compared to a couple other hotels we stayed in recently. The one big change I would make is to not have the cups and ice bucket in the bathroom. That's just "yucky." Overall, it was clean and quiet.

Great overall

Overall we had a great stay! About the only complaints were: the room didn't have the AC on when we got there, so it was 82° and the tile by the door was slippery from humidity. Once we turned the air on and used a towel on the floor, everything was fine. Also, there want a working fan in the bathroom, so it got very steamy when showering. The proprietors were helpful and friendly, free breakfast was fresh and decent, and it was conveniently located with free parking.

Pleasantly surprised

It was a pleasant stay. We were a little early and the gentleman at the check in counter was very friendly and was able to check us in early. The lobby was very clean and nice atmosphere. Our room and bathroom was also very clean main room was a little small but the big bathroom and cleanliness made up for it. Was perfect location for our quick trip to Indy. Will definitely stay again.

The reviews were all correct about this hotel. It is an older property, but clean and taken care of. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious. There were no pictures of the pool...but there was a pool! It was indoor and a little cold, but nice to cool off during the summer. The area around the hotel is alright, there are lots of food places and a grocery store just down the street. Access to get on and off the highway was close. My only negative comment is that when you entered the room it smelled of very strong cigarette in the entryway and the bathroom. The room was alright and once we got the air conditioning running it aired it out.

2 Rooms

(2 beds, non-smoking room) Check in was great and front desk staff was wonderful. When we got to our original room, it reeked of smoke and the bathroom had not been cleaned with the sink being clogged with water and other bits of unidentified stuff. After politely returning to request a room change, we got a smoke free and totally clean room in perfect condition and were highly satisfied with our whole 2 night stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay for a very affordable price, but it appears maybe some of the cleaning staff weren’t doing too well at that particular time, or perhaps an understaffing issue, I’m not sure. Just keep an eye out and work with the staff because they were excellent in accommodating us and making us feel at home for the weekend after the initial experience!
