Just a Place to Sleep
They did not have our room when we checked in and so they gave us the handicapped room which did not seem to have been occupied for some time. The TV did not work and they could not work it either. The bathroom was not clean nor did it have any counter space but the could have been do to the room type, towel rack broken, toilet roll holder broken. Breakfast was poor (please offer Rice Chex for GF option and maybe yogurt and fresh fruit) Not hospitable.

Such a Great Place!
Staff was Very Friendly especially Ms. Carol. The place is beautiful and clean, our king room was large and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was good, juice, coffee, muffins & bagels.

Good spot for a few nights. Room was clean and comfortable. Tub didn't drain well, but shower had good pressure and got hot. Carol at the front desk was friendly and helpful, even recommended a decent place to eat dinner.

It was ok
The lady that checked us in was very nice. The room was adequate. Mattress and pillows not very comfortable and walls were very thin. Though there appeared to only be a few guests, it seemed everyone was next door to each other Control to HVAC was broken off and we had to improvise a bit to control temps. The room was fine for the price paid, but I would not recommend this as a vacation destination.

I was actually surprised at how nice the hotel was for the cost. Well worth it. Just a few issues. There was no knob on the temperature control, the hallway light in our room was burned out, and there were some odd stains on the chair. But every time I talk to Carolynn on the phone, she was incredibly helpful nice and accommodating. She gets five stars personally.

It was just “ok” bed not very comfy. Old hotel, renovated but not up to date. Weird. Room numbers out of order. Like 202, 217, 222, then back to 204, 203 217, etc.

Shower heads had mold growing, lampshade was very dirty, toilets were brown, mattress protector was bloody, beds were hard and springs could be felt. Save yourselves the trouble and stay elsewhere.

Check-in went well and the front desk person was friendly. The room had an unpleasant odor. The cover sheet had a number of visible stains. The bed and the pillows were very uncomfortable. The shower curtain and the tub were not clean.

The lady that checked me in was very nice and polite. The only promlem i had was the bathroom sink the water wasnt draining down right it was very slow draining. Then out of no were the toliet startedsame thing when you flush it it wouldn't flush it come up to over flo on toilet then it would just drain down slowing.

Great place to stay on a budget. Very clean and friendly service. Only issue we had was the air conditioner was SUPER loud and the tv remote was falling apart and could not figure out how to watch Live TV. Fire pit was a nice addition and free breakfast of course is nice.

Our stay was great. Only a short drive to downtown shops, restaurants, and the Blueridge Railroad. Our room was quiet, clean…no complaints. Front desk employee was GREAT. She was Very informative and went above and beyond to help us with what we needed. The continental breakfast was pretty slim but other than that..it was a great place to stay. We would definitely stay here again!!
