The hotel really needs an upgrade. Our room looked old and bland. Nothing interesting about it. This was our first time in Vegas. We stayed here only because the group we came with stayed there also. Next time we’ll stay somewhere else. They do give you complimentary bottled water & ear plugs.

Very nice hotel, but some issues
The hotel overall was great and still the best in downtown LV. Stars were deducted for a few reasons. 1. We booked for 3 and made a specific request for 2 double beds on Hotels.com. Checking in I noticed that the kiosk recognized that we were a party of 3. We were randomly assigned a room and walked into a room with a king bed to be shared by me, my wife, and adult daughter. Ridiculous. Change your policy, GN. 2. Ended up upgrading to a room in the newer Rush tower to get the necessary beds, a refrigerator, and no fee early check-in (if you get there before 3:00 pm, be prepared to pay this $20 fee or wait unti 3:00, and they are strict). Upgrade was an extra $40/night, but worth it. 3. Can’t say if this is a problem with the Rush tower, our height (22nd floor), or the way we were facing, but the noise from the Fremont Experience was brutal in our room! Went on from 12 noon ‘til 2:00 am. Constant drumming and heavy bass without respite. We didn’t notice until checkout that earplugs were provided in our room, so at least they recognize the problem. 4. This one is a personal preference, but the pillows are big and extra fluffy and hard on the neck. Just an fyi. On a positive note, the Rush Tower room was well appointed, modern, and very clean. Our first room assignment in the more dated Carson Tower was not not nearly as nice, with dated/dingy decor, no refrigerator or coffee service, and a strong disinfectant odor to mask something. As I said, the upgrade is worth it.

Not everyone likes the “experience” especially me!
At check in again, because we work we did not arrive until 6PM, so again got a room right on top of “the experience “. Went back to the desk and of course no help in getting another room away from that racquet, got no rest, no sleep!

The Golden Nugget is always a convenient day when you're going to the Las Vegas world market for a tradeshow, the rooms are acceptable, although they could probably use an upgrade, but the bed is good and things were clean and tidy. The price was also very affordable. I will stay there again.

Rude front desk
Shampoo and conditioner containers in shower were empty. No tissues. No garbage bags in the cans. Mikd around caulking of tub. Tried to check in at 6:30pm and was told room was not ready yet check in time is 3pm. Front desk lady was rude and said it was because i wanted an upgrade. I told her i didn’t authorize an upgrade, she argued with me and I had to show her the email i sent declining the upgrade. Then to top ot off we get up to our room and one of the keys didn’t work.

Painful Check-In but everything else was fine.
Good experience overall. The only issue was the new “Express Check-In Kiosks” they attempt to force you to use. After multiple attempts, an attendant came over to help… presumed we were just not technologically savvy… and realized after another 20 minutes that the Kiosk was not working for us so she directed us to the attendant at the desk.

A little dated.....service could be better
I like the convenience of the hotel for my business needs.....I had asked for my room to be cleaned daily,did not happen during my weeks stay twice. The hotel is looking very dated for the amount of money to stay.....always stay in the RUSH TOWER .....needs to replace furniture and rugs.

The property itself, I would rate 3 stars in cleanliness and amenities - to be expected from a hotel at this price. However, the room I stayed in this time was extremely dated and not clean. The bathtub was stained, and the carpets were crusty. The overall excellent service at the property does make up for our some of it, but the cleanliness really detracted from the overall stay.
