Not Recommending
Was originally given a room, king size bed but as I walked in I noticed the loud noise from a vent. I requested to change my room since it’s impossible to sleep with the vent sound. I was told that he can’t change the room because I already used the toilet to pee. That’s the most ridiculous reason I’ve ever hear. I insisted and finally got a transfer. It shouldn’t be an issue to change but the hotel it like one.

This is a nice, older hotel, in a convenient area in downtown Guadalajara. Close to restaurants, shops, churches and mercados; perfect for my shopping and daily walks. The only problem I had was that they expect for you to inform them daily if you want your room cleaned—I thought that was automatic, but now here. And I also had a problem with the security box in the room not working. That meant I had to hide my valuables somehow in the room. Other than that, I enjoyed staying there and will probably come back.

We loved the location in the historic district. The staff was kind and helpful. Our room was #102. I had only one window that faced the hallway, so no natural light. The design in the shower allowed the water to spill out onto the bathroom floor. There was noise from next door, either the hotel laundry room or elevator at all hours. A few issues with the room, but other than that a good stay. Bed was comfortable, room was clean.
