Amazing location, but outdated room
Well starting from the pro, the location is just amazing, mere seconds away from the JR Kyoto station. Also the service was excellent and was eligible for an upgrade of the room. The room was quite spacious. Now the con side is that room is quite outdated and looked quite worn down. Compared to other Kyoto hotels that I have stayed in the past, the building and the room seemed quite old.

Easy walk from the train station. The room was clean and quite large. Lots of space for your suitcases. The "bar" section isn't open after 6pm, so you have to go into the A'la Carte restaurant for drinks - it was never busy and the staff where happy to let us sit there and order only drinks. I'd definitely stay here again.

Good location with lots of eating options nearby
I liked the location in the sense that it is a bit away from the most busy part of Kyoto Station. The down side is that you need to walk a little far after getting down from the train/subway. Eating options are abundant. I don't even have enough time to explore the surrounding despite the fact that I stayed there for 9 nights. The size of the room is big comparrd to the usual hotels in Japan. Service is good and room is clean. Overall satisfied with my stay and definitely will consider coming back.again.

Very nice all the way around. Super convenient location with travelers with luggage. Stores and restaurants across the street are very good! Going to all the temples and shrine is little difficult to navigate with busses and subway. Try your visits on weekdays and early morning to avoid crazy amount of tourists. Kyoto has grown so big that try booking some tour might be helpful.

Great location, very clean except the guy who was helping me checkout. I was self checking out and had only one key with me and th second one was in the room power on switch. Was not aware that 2 keys are needed to check out and one key was already processed by the machine and could not get the key back to go back to room to get the second one. The guy at the counter was soo rude that he was throwing up his ands and acting up etc. not acceptable. Not sure whther he was cursing me in Japanese as he was saying some thing in Japanese and shaking his head etc

Rather disappointing on my booking . I booked 2 nites 2 rooms , I room I indicated bed for 3 pax but was told to pay additional $32,122 yen for additional pax Despite explaing that it is clearly indicated on my remarks booking but hotel insisted that I need to pay for extra pax sigh !
