A charming little boutique hotel that is walking distance to a lot of eateries, the boardwalk, and pretty close to Dalhousie University.
My room was very roomy and comfortable. It's not super modern but is not rundown. The bed was nice and firm like I like it. The shower presure was great.
The only thjng that you.will need to be aware of is that there are no elevators. So if you have a lot of luggage or are not able to walk up/down stairs, this property may not be for you.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would return.

We loved our stay. Short walk to many restaurant options. Lovely room, pristine!Sat in the library and enjoyed pre dinner glass of wine/beer , very reasonably priced and simple but delicious breakfast, generous enough to share, tea/coffee complimentary for 15$. Parking worked well. Gorgeous historic inn. Desk staff was knowledgeable and lovely. Bathroom looked recently updated and the shower water pressure was fantastic! We will stay again next trip to Halifax!

This is a lovely old hotel/inn right in the most interesting part of the Halifax downtown, just a short walk (downhill) to the boardwalk and tons of great restaurants, the market, etc. We had a cozy suite with a living room and a lovely old fireplace with an electric fire that gave off just enough heat to warm our bones after a walk along the seafront in November.

Our room was in a very tall old house. One of 3 that make up The Halliburton. It was very nice except for the stairs!! We were given a room on the third floor and there were two very steep narrow staircases to climb. If planning on staying there, be aware of this. If you have mobility issues you would not be able to climb these stairs. It is a long way up and down!

The staff was so friendly and helpful; always had the guest as a priority. Very knowledgeable about the city. The bathroom was spotless; level of cleanliness was far about even high end places. The 2 girls who greeted us when we stopped in early; couldn't have been more happy and accommodating. Perfect choice for being in Halifax!
