At check in, the person at the front desk was friendly and the room was clean. However, the beds were firm and very uncomfortable which made it difficult to get a good night sleep. There were no blackout curtains so we were awoken early in the morning by the bright light coming through the window. Breakfast was terrible. The food was meager. There were dry sausages, scrambled eggs that look like yellow crumbs, dry and stale hash browns, the hard boiled eggs were rubbery and the coffee was tasteless. The hotel is located in a bad area. Also, at check in at around 3:00 pm, we saw a young men sitting on a couch in the corner of the lobby and left at about 11:00 pm when we returned to the hotel, This made us a bit nervous about leaving the hotel. During breakfast, a homeless individual walked into the breakfast area, loaded up a plate with food, and walked out thorough a side door. We will definitely be staying somewhere else the next time we visit Albuquerque.
