When we got there a man was outback that asked to come in with us, we said no. He acted as if he had a key but in fact the door was not secure amd he just came.in anyways. Got to the room and was so hot in there. Asked staff in the morning to have someone come up. We left for the day and came back and it was hot still. Had to call again to get someone up there. The cafe that was onsite was not open. The second morning there was no breakfast and just a man with 2 coffee pots for coffee. Missing tile in bathroom, less than hot water. Trash can with the words Rachels barf bucket as pur trash can. Just not a great experience

Not the best experience
The hotel wasn’t very clean. The carpets in the hallways were dirty. For me the worst part was the overwhelming smell of pot. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as I expected and the bed wasn’t very comfortable.

I checked in Easter 7pm and the entire first floor was very dimly lit. The restaurant was closed, the bar was closed. Nobody was there, as if it were abandoned. Because the lighting was poor I couldn’t find the front desk. I’m assuming the hotel rep stepped away. It took me 10 min to figure out where the front desk was when another guest came down and waited there, asking to change his room because of heating issues.

Worst experience at a hotel
Upon check-in I was asked to pay in full for the week stay. Our room had NO heat for 3 days and was told that they were booked and could not put us in another room. Keep in mind NY in December is cold-1st night was 16 degrees. A/C tech finally arrived on day 4, could not fix the unit so he arranged us to get another room. On day 2 ( Christmas Eve) there was an incident with another guest who was screaming and threatening about 5 staff members, the cops were called as I passed them while walking out of the lobby (I took video in case) many guests seemed scared to cross the lobby area. House keeping neglected to replenish the coffee, bottled water and towels! I had to go in the hallway to ask them while in motion. The water pressure of both hotel rooms were less than ideal but the front desk said it could not be fixed but it has been a problem. Upon check out I told the attendant all of the above and they gave us 1 night free which we feel is not compensation enough. No kitchen staff and when we asked for one, a guy came out and said they only had 3 items on the entire menu! Needless to say, we will never book the Radisson Hotel ever again! And DO NOT recommend anyone else booking it either!

Very Disappointing
Unfortunately, from check-in onwards this has been a very poor experience. It feels as if the real staff are away and the only people available are untrained, petulant teenagers, who have no interest in dealing with customers in any fashion. If they were just disinterested, that would be one thing, but I actually witnessed a staff member goading and swearing at an unhappy customer in the lobby, now while the customer was no angel, it's unfathomable that this would happen at all, but especially on Christmas Day. Just awful. The nicest, most professional people here are the cleaning staff. Cheers to them.

Convenient location and value. needs attention.
Front desk staff was very accommodating for checking in at 3:00. There was a nonstop whistling sound coming from the vent whether or not the fan was on. Excellent water pressure in the shower but the water drained so slow it was about an inch high throughout the shower. Staff at check out was minimally interactive. Never asked how the stay was.

Check in at 730 pm my room was not ready when check in is at 3 pm then told my room was giving away an hour waiting to get my room when we finally got to our room the lock don’t open and is broken so maintenance had to change lock out the hotel itself was very clean and comfortable

Grateful but far from ideal
My husband and i Had a family emergency and had to jump in the car and head to Long Island. My husband first went in and asked if they had any availability and they said no. I went onto hotels.com from the parking lot and booked the room. The balcony was filthy and scary to be honest. The ac unit would not shut off, there was NO HOT WATER on both days. Showering was pure misery. The bed, first had stains on the blanket and then springs in my side. The fire alarm in our room went off at 1:30 am while we were sleeping. The ice machines didn’t work. It was Far from ideal but we had a roof over our heads after a long stressful weekend so we counted our blessings but never ever again.

management control = lowered quality of stay
The management is the problem. Yeah, it's an older hotel, but it's in a convenient location, and the staff are very nice. The management: Doesn't even trust its staff enough to give them access to coffee for the rooms. Doesn't agree with staff permissions to let someone play the hotel piano. (Seriously: Don't touch their piano -- not even if two separate staff people have confirmed that it's okay. The manager will overrule the staff judgment and then go speak sternly to said staff. My professional-pianist son learned that the hard way.) Management also doesn't care enough to fix the ice machines on floor 2, or 3, or 4 (hint: go to floor 5 for ice). Doesn't care that the lobby fumigation is at prime check-in time. In all, we felt sorry for the staff, but if stays are made of little things, the little things here are absent. The front desk staff clearly lack the authority necessary to do their jobs to Radisson standards. But *any* employee should be able to fetch coffee pods, or have their promise of lobby coffee in the morning fulfilled, or be able to give small courtesies to guests without having their jobs at risk. To quote the couple coming down the elevator with us at the end of our visit: "it's convenient enough, but I don't think we'll stay here again."
