"Staff were helpful and friendly. However the lasting memory was of an expensive stay and the quality of the hotel did not live up to the rate being charged. There were other smaller things such as the bar food closing early and the cleaning of the bar floor with strong chemical while the bar was open and guests were having a drink. But these are not the main issue which was the cost of the stay. "

The staff are lovely including Reception, housekeeping and breakfast room. We had a lovely room at the end of the corridor so we were rarely disturbed.
Enjoyed the breakfast done to order. The car park can be tricky as there aren’t a long of spaces but the overflow suits us fine too.
Environmentally, we bring our own toiletries so do not use the complimentary packs apart from a bar of soap. Towels replaced daily so it would be good to know where to keep towels if you don’t want them replaced. "

"For a larger resort style hotel, I thought the food was well above average. The room and bed comfort were excellent and a big plus for a non left hand side driver, a oarking lot with a not only sufficient space, but enough open swing room to get in and out of the lot with ease. "
"I was initially given room 101. It had a terrible smell and the WiFi didn't work. The kind staff on the front desk moved me to another room on the same floor as reception. It was beautiful and the wifi worked. Very comfortable bed and the bathroom had a lovely shower. The breakfast was delicious. There was a good choice of fruits, cereals and cooked breakfast. The staff were very attentive. Although, I was in Mayo for business, I enjoyed visiting the spiritual sanctuary that is Knock. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the basilica. I found this to be a gorgeous place to walk in the early morning. I will definitely stay in this hotel again. It is the perfect base for any trip to Mayo"
