The drive up to the actual hotel is pretty wild especially at night it felt so scary through the dark winding road like if you were in a Jurassic Park movie. During the day the ride was much more manageable but definitely not for an unseasoned driver. We came during dry season yet there was a lot of rain making the drive scarier. However the view and property ambience was worth it. Property could use some extra amenities to make it top...

"Hotel Lomas Del Volcan is wonderful in every way. The grounds and views are breathtaking. There are beautiful flowers everywhere you look, and the Arenal Volcano is a stunning backdrop. We even saw a sloth and monkeys while enjoying the delicious complimentary buffet breakfast! I also cannot say enough about how truly friendly and welcoming all of the hotel staff are. The hotel is very accessible to restaurants, hot springs, and the La Fortuna Waterfall. We have absolutely loved our stay here...

loved at our stay at Casa Del Rio. Everything was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Only complaint was the water slide was not running while we were there, but we loved our private hot tub on our patio! Would definitely stay again."

Location is perfect quick walk to downtown, supermarkets and restaurants. Room is spacious and clean. Water pressure was a little low for shower. Otherwise everything is perfect. Loved the marshmallow they provided. Would recommend and would stay here again."
