Kauai Inn is a quiet hideaway with easy access to the beaches and restaurants in Lihue. Its a great central location between driving to the east/north side of island and west side of island.

"The hotel has a great location right beside Lydgate Park. So if you have kids, there is a great playground nearby and some safe ocean pools they can swim in. The food in the restaurant and bar is very good. And the rooms are clean and quiet. But the carpets are old and need to be replaced. They have gone to every other day housekeeping, and the main restaurant isn’t open for lunch. And honestly I don’t know what the resort fee was for—there just aren’t that many activities. "
